  1. I love your haiku but a few changes would make it a true haiku. I have studied haiku and it’s forms for some time and with a few changes:

    to accomplish your dreams
    believe in your instincts
    take the leap of faith

Try never to use “and” or connect the lines by dropping to the next line as in free verse. Instead, make each line count as one thought. Although haiku is 5,7,5, it’s okay not to use that strict syllable count. Haiku was invented by the Japanese, a language that does not use the same syllable count as English so many people don’t stick to the Japanese rules. I hope you don’t mind me saying this but your haiku is good!

    1. Thank you Bekkie 🙂
I surely don’t mind it 🙂 I am still learning to write Haiku so this is really insightful. As you mentioned I was trying to stick to the 5,7,5 syllable count. But next time I shall try to make it better 🙂

      1. Good for you! I still try to stubbornly stick to the 5,7,5, but I let myself slide if it’s more or less now. My talented haiku friends lovingly laugh at me. Once I learned how to write haiku as full thoughts on each line all of my poetry got better. Have a nice week and see you soon!
